FAQ

Who can participate in this tournament?

This tournament is for college students. If you are a guy and a college student (undergraduate or graduate), you are eligible to participate!

Will there be prizes?

Yes, the winners of both our experienced players bracket and beginners bracket will win ~$100 (from the entry fees) to donate to one of the following local Philly nonprofit organizations:
- Logan HOPE, an urban K-12 school in North Philly
- Chosen 300, a Christian homeless ministry
- The Rock Ministries, a church/rehab center serving Kensington
- Sharing Excess, a food sharing and sustainability organization founded by a Drexel student

What should I bring?

College ID (to show that you are a college student), athletic wear, water bottle, and good sportsmanship.

Can I play with my friend?

You can play with your friends during the free play. However, for King of the Hill, we are specifically rotating partners to form brackets. Total points earned are used to rank players in each pool and then form them into different pairs for the final Single Elimination Bracket.

Will we play on grass or turf?

Unfortunately, there are no grassy areas in University City, Philadelphia, that fits all of us. Instead, we are playing in an indoor gymnasium!

Who is hosting this tournament?

Story College Church is a church in University City, Philadelphia, for all college students. However, this tournament is not a religious or spiritual event. It's spikeball.
